Northside Community Dinners

Since June 2022, the Northside Food Cooperative (NFC) has joined forces with lowercase leaders, Feast Down East, VOYAGE of Wilmington, Dreams of Wilmington, and Port City United to organize 40 vibrant community dinners, serving over 2400 plates of nutritious food and contributing over 800 hours of community service. Inspired by the grassroots ethos of the Black Panther Party’s Free Breakfast Program, these dinners symbolize radical love and solidarity, fostering a space where neighbors support each other. With recent federal cuts to COVID relief EBT benefits and regular food assistance, these dinners are becoming an even more essential lifeline. Join us for the Northside Community Dinners, where you can enjoy locally sourced meals while building connections in our evolving community. Come experience the transformative power of communal nourishment and connection, as we believe sharing a meal together fosters unity and safety. Your seat at the table awaits!
